If you are new to Christchurch or visiting this website for the first time, Catholic Cathedral College is part of the network of five Catholic Colleges that serve the city of Christchurch.
Catholic Cathedral College is the only co-educational Catholic College in the city, and offers faith-based learning to girls and boys from Year 7 to Year 13. Its central position means that students can easily access the College from any part of greater Christchurch, as all major bus routes pass through the nearby Bus Exchange. Its proximity to the Christchurch Polytechnic and Christchurch School of Music enable us to take advantage of these educational and cultural institutions on our doorstep.
If you are looking for a strong values-based education for your daughter or son, based on the Gospel message of Jesus, then I encourage you to explore this website and to make contact with the College. Our ‘Open Evening’ will be Tuesday 21 May, but we welcome all inquiries and can provide a guided tour at a time that best suits the family.
This central location is very significant as the first Catholic Schools in the city were opened here by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions in 1868 and the Marist Brothers in1888. The charisms of these Religious orders remain very important as we prepare this generation of young Catholics to Live by Faith and to be prepared to make a real difference in their world.
