Current Staff Vacancies

Health and Physical Education teacher - part time from 0.54 FTTE upwards, or fulltime, fixed-term for 2024 (for reasons of parental leave) Suitable for beginning teachers

We are seeking a teacher of Physical Education, Health, Food and Nutrition, to join our kura for the remainder of the 2024 school year. This is a fixed-term, full-time position available from Term 2 2024.

Payroll/HR Administrator

We are seeking a Payroll and HR Administrator, with experience in EdPay and Google suite, and with a background in an education setting, who will be responsible for all areas of payroll (for around 75 staff) and HR administration in our College. The successful candidate will be pivotal to an effective administration team, by working closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal in charge of relievers, and other College staff, as well as external organisations. 


The position will be worked onsite, 32 hours per week during term-time, with additional end-of-year and start-of-year hours required, as well as other days in the school holidays.  Remuneration is based on the Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement 2022 - 2024, Administration Grade 5, dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.


The person appointed to this position will:

  • have a focus on service in relation to working with current and potential staff, with clear and accurate communication

Bilingual Learning Support

We are seeking an energetic, caring, organised and motivated Bilingual Learning Support to join our team for the 2024 school year. This is a fixed-term, part-time position, for four hours per week worked over one or two days, between the hours of 8 30 am and 3 pm, term time only. The start date will be in April, at the start of Term 2 2024.   

Employment Agreement:  Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement; Teacher Aide Grade B/C.   The position is fixed-term for reasons of limited allocated funding associated with specific students.   Free on-site parking is available.


The successful candidate will support student learning and contribute positively to our school community. Experience working with students with learning differences would be an advantage. A high level of  fluency in Tigrinya and English is required, with fluency in Kunama desirable. The ability to provide clear and concise communications to students is required.

​​​​​​​Junior Teacher (English) part-time fixed-term up to 0.5 FTTE for the remainder of 2024

We are seeking a teacher to join our kura, in a part-time, fixed-term position for the remainder of 2024.   The role will have a focus on Junior English (Years 7 - 9), with additional periods dependent upon the successful applicant’s subject strengths.  The role is available from the start of Term 2 2024.

Relief Teachers

We are looking for qualified teachers to join our pool of day-to-day relief teachers to start immediately, all subjects.

Previous experience working in a Special Character school or kura an advantage but not a prerequisite.
