40 Bags for 40 Days was introduced to Young Vinnies last week by the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. This is where we put our donations of food or clothing in bags which will be collected until the end of Lent. Our donations so far were collected on Wednesday by Penny Marks, the Operation Manager of Saint Vincent de Paul Society here in Christchurch. The donations will be used in either the SVdP shop or food assistance. Young Vinnies' members showed great interest in giving something for those who are in need. We are now preparing for our first morning tea with the elderly which will happen next week.
